The very essence of who you are…
It may be the hardest thing you have to do. However, doing something for yourself will be the most significant thing you will ever do. This is especially true if you have children. Look at your children now and know you are looking at a younger version of yourself. Fight for the little girl or boy in them. No one fought for that part of you when you were that age.
Because they are looking at you, you must fight the generational curses now. It sucks that this mission was put on you. I apologize for that. It is time to stand up. Give yourself the voice that no one gave the small you. You will stand up and do it with grace, grit, and dignity. We are giving ourselves hope. You are also giving your offspring and generations to come the chance to have a healthy and clean voice. They will rise and know how to stand up for themselves respectfully. Do it now because I promise you it will pay off.
As a parent, you must want better for your children and fight for that now. The battle you are fighting is in your mind, and you will be rewarded if you keep fighting. It is crucial as you continue your journey to remember everyone has a story. Your story does not make you a victim. Instead, it makes you the most remarkable survivor so you can help others.
If someone told you that your current addiction can’t be turned around, they lied to you. If someone told you you can’t be healed from sexual abuse, they lied to you. If someone has ever told you that you will end up just like your aunts or uncles. Or they said you will become like your parents who were worthless. They lied to you. They were placing their fears on you. They told you would end up in prison, they lied to you. Or if they claimed you never keep a man or woman, they lied to you. The stories go on. We all have made mistakes. Your past mistakes have only defined who you are up until this moment. Your future starts now because you only get to write the following chapters of your life.
